We are Ward & Spires and are local bankruptcy attorneys. If the local paper contains an announcement that your mortgage company intends to foreclose on your property or if you have received notification directly from your mortgage company, filing  bankruptcy is an option to stopping the foreclosure.

In short, federal bankruptcy law can stop the foreclosure provided you act in time. A Chapter 13 Bankruptcy would allow you to put all the back due payments of the mortgage inside a Chapter 13 Plan. The Chapter 13 Plan would allow you to pay back due payments over time. You would not have to come up with a lump sum payment to catch up on the back due to mortgage payments. Additionally, you can put other bills inside the same Chapter 13 Plan. These bills could include, but are not limited to, car and truck payments, boat payments, motorcycle payments, medical expenses, furniture payments, credit cards, finance companies, check advances, and taxes.

lf you are attempting to stop the foreclosure, time is of the essence and a bankruptcy petition needs to be filed before the foreclosure deadline date. Please do not delay in seeking our assistance to save your property. There is no charge for the initial meeting.

Please Contact us at 706-724-2640 to discuss saving your property.
